Aerospace & Defense Meetings Torino is due to take place from 28-29 October 2009 in Italy. The event is a joint initiative of the Turin Chamber of Commerce and Piemonte Centro Estero, the agency for development of aerospace in Italy’s Piemonte region.
BCI, the world specialist of business to business meetings, is responsible for running the entire event with its concept of pre-planned meetings between supply chain people and subcontractors.
Aerospace & Defense Meetings Torino is the sole aerospace event in Italy and provides 100% focus on supply chain concerns and programmes managed by Italy’s large Prime contractors, including Thales Alenia Space, Alenia Aeronautica, Avio, Selex Galileo and Microtecnica.
The first event in 2008 hosted over 350 companies from as many as 21 countries. Nearly 1,000 attendees interacted through 6,000 professional B2B meetings arranged prior and during the event.
For the 2009 event, BCI is expecting as many companies as last year, while a stronger participation of companies from such countries as the USA, Israel, Russia, China and India is already confirmed. However, Europe will still make up a large majority of the contingent.
In addition to the B2B meetings, both Centro Estero and Turin Chamber of Commerce will promote an ambitious conference programme comprising ‘Green Aviation’ with a specific emphasis on aero structures and engines, and the Clean Sky project launched by the EU.
High level speakers from large Primes and European Commission delegates will bring their expertise and knowledge to the conference.
