3T celebrates 20 years at Formnext

3T celebrates 20 years at Formnext

3T additive manufacturing celebrated its 20th anniversary and 20 years of industry leading technology and services at Formnext, Frankfurt last week.

Founded in 1999 and based in Newbury, Berkshire, 3T says it focuses on driving the advancements in additive manufacturing to help its customers move toward serial production.

3T offers market leading polymer and metal additive manufacturing to a wide range of industries and has one of the largest capacities in Europe. The company provides supply chain solutions and parts that reduce mass, weight, cost and lead times, whilst maintaining safety through prototype, development and serial production.

“It’s an exciting time for the industry and we’re working closely with our customers and partners to realise the full potential of this technology,” stated 3T’s CEO, Nigel Robinson (pictured). “We’re leading the way in quality approved serial addition manufacturing production. It is important to understand each of our customer’s requirements to give a total bespoke value add supply chain solution for the various sectors we support. An example of this is our Scan2Product offering which enables the production of mass customisation applications.”

3T showcased its Scan2Product offering at Formnext, which realises mass customisation for its customers, and the company recently entered into a strategic partnership with NDES Additive, a leading company providing application development and AM production in Osaka, Japan.

Hitoshi Sakai, department manager, NDES said: “We are honoured to form a business alliance with 3T. By driving advanced technological capabilities to fulfil customer requirements, and by building a stable manufacturing base, we hope to achieve the industry leading cost efficiencies and quality.”
