The 2018 edition of the Additive Manufacturing Conference broke the attendance record for the event, with more than 650 attendees.

The previous record had been set in 2017 and the continued growth reflects the overall expansion of additive technology into production.

AMC18 spanned two days at IMTS, North America’s largest machining technology tradeshow. The event featured 24 speakers from additive manufacturing service bureaus, OEMs, research labs and more. Presentations from HP, GE and Siemens highlighted a programme that focused on the next level of 3D printing adoption for part production.

Conference organisers announced that next year, Additive Manufacturing Media will host programmes at three major trade shows across the country: The North American International Automotive Show in Detroit, Amerimold in Chicago and CAMX in Anaheim.

The 2019 Additive Manufacturing Conference will be held in Austin, Texas. The three-day event will feature technical sessions, facility tours, networking opportunities and an expanded exhibit floor to accommodate the growing interest in additive technology.
