Cornish aerospace opportunities promoted at Advanced Engineering 2018

The group will showcase its capabilities that are making Cornwall a key player in one of the world’s fastest growing space and aerospace clusters.

Cornwall is the UK’s primary gateway into space, with companies across the region investing in research, development and innovation to propel Cornwall to new heights within the global space and aerospace cluster.

AeroSpace Cornwall’s intention is to harness momentum from Cornwall’s existing strengths with Cornwall Airport Newquay and Goonhilly Earth Station and build upon these. It aims to connect higher education and expertise, with business joining the regional and global space economy through the creation of new engineering jobs within the sector in Cornwall.

Aerospace Cornwall has since gone on to create a fast growing business cluster, with companies such as Flann Microwave alongside Bluefruit Software, Logan Electronics and DP Engineering.

James Fairbairn, business engagement manager at AeroSpace Cornwall, believes progressive businesses will benefit from Cornwall’s presence at the event. He said: “Aerospace Cornwall will be joined by some of the region’s leading space and aerospace companies including Bluefruit Software, Logan Electronics, Flann Microwave and DP Engineering to showcase Cornish success in the manufacturing and engineering sector.”

AeroSpace Cornwall and some of its partners will be on hand to discuss the Cornish space sector at the Advanced Engineering Show in Birmingham on 31st October and 1st November at stand N3.
