At the recent Paris Airshow Aerospace Manufacturing and the Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) signed a media partnership for the event in 2018. Ed Hill reports.

The agreement maintains the cooperation between the two organisations established for many years and will enable Aerospace Manufacturing, and its broad base of media platforms, to continue to offer insightful coverage of the event to industry stakeholders.

Andy Morley, sales director from Aerospace Manufacturing, said: “We are proud to be associated with the Farnborough International Airshow; one of the biggest and most successful aerospace events in the world. We have always had a very strong working relationship with the Farnborough team and that association is very important to us as a business. With the exciting developments that are happening at Farnborough in the coming year we feel very positive about this agreement.”

The Farnborough International Airshow will be held between July 16-22 next year. A new permanent 20,000m² exhibition facility, hall 1, is due to open in Spring 2018. The new building will comprise 12,500m² of exhibition space, a conference space for up to 2,500 delegates plus additional flexible conference, meeting and function rooms.

Andrew Pearcey, marketing and communications director for Farnborough International, added: “We feel very happy to continue this partnership with Aerospace Manufacturing. Our new multifunctional exhibition and conference centre is going to have a big impact on the show and will enable us to introduce lots of new features. We are looking to continually grow the strength and breadth of the event and anticipate 2018 is going to be a great show. We know our exhibitors feel very positive about the new developments and ultimately Farnborough is their showcase to the aerospace world.”
