Organised by AKKA Technology via its Aeroconseil subsidiary, the second edition of this event will bring together more than 300 representatives of aircraft manufacturers, systems suppliers, equipment manufacturers, subcontractors and certification consultants from around the world. This year, the AKKA Group and its subsidiary Aeroconseil reaffirm their commitment to the joint initiatives fostered by Certification Together. The aim of this project is to structure, initiate and facilitate discussions and collaboration on aspects of aeronautical certification, through technical seminars, joint activities (such as User‘s Groups) and assistance for SMEs, and of course the Certification Together International Conference. The context for aircraft or engine certification, particularly as regards the requirements for systems (ARP4754/ARP4761), software (DO178) and electronics (DO254), engenders a need for clarification and support to overcome the problems related to their application. At the same time, regulations are gradually being established on such varied subjects as air traffic control, security, or the certification of military aircraft and drones. “The regulation is constantly updated and completed, with slight differences in the way it is defined or applied by the various international authorities,” explained Lionel Burgaud, certification business development manager at Aeroconseil Groupe AKKA Technologies and chairman of Certification Together. “The technology is changing faster still and systems are becoming increasingly complex and integrated. Everyone in the supply chain agrees on the need to share experiences and discuss the technical and practical issues. This is what Certification Together aims to achieve, particularly through its User Groups and the CTIC.” www.aeroconseil.com
