The emergence of high-volume applications in recent years continues to dominate demand for electrical and electronic components while component manufacturers struggle to match supply to demand. Lead-times on many products have now become almost unmanageable often forcing the use of untried sources of supply and often in the grey market.
Long and complex business relationships in the grey market heighten the risk of counterfeiting infiltrating the supply chain. As a result of increased lead times, even low value components are being counterfeited and, at the same time, counterfeit components are becoming increasingly difficult to detect, both due to increased miniaturisation and ‘improved’ fabrication techniques by the counterfeiters.
Fortunately, action to counter the threat is also evolving with new best practice and solutions developing all the time. This seminar will focus on current trends and new developments in combating counterfeits in the supply chain. Whether new to the threat and keen to learn more or already experienced in counterfeit mitigation practices, delegates will find this seminar valuable.
Scheduled to run from 9.45am to 3.30pm with breaks for refreshments and a buffet lunch, the seminar will include presentations providing information on:
