It’s been 14 years since ap&m Europe first landed in London, and during that time a loyal following has developed, with many exhibitors and visitors attending every year since 2003.

However, as the industry diversifies and expands, a new audience of first time attendees is growing, bringing exciting opportunities into the exhibition, with new business and product launches high on the agenda.

“As a newcomer to ap&m Europe, we would like to present our logistics services to the airlines and suppliers,” said Andreas Loos, branch manager at Kras-Logistics, who are making their ap&m Europe debut in 2017. “We’re looking to expand our global network and customer base.”

Of the 200 exhibitors at this year’s show, over 20% are first timers, with several others returning to the show after a long absence, meaning visitors have the chance to meet suppliers and potential business associates who they have never encountered before.

“We chose to exhibit at ap&m to get fresh exposure on our new activities, and branch into the UK market,” added Amaury Parent, business development manager at Ateliers Bigata.

It’s not just the exhibitors – a raft of new airlines are also committing to ‘Meet the Buyers’, the speed networking feature for the first time. Procurement and purchasing specialists from the likes of Aero Transporte, Air Arabia Maroc, Atlas Global Airlines, Blue Air, DHL, DOT LT, Emirates, First Nation Airways, Kenya Airways, Regional One and Volotea are participating for the first time in 2017.

Rob Woods, head of engineering at Air Arabia Maroc, one of around 100 buyers taking part, commented: "As we enter a period of rapid and exciting growth we look forward to meeting with many of our current suppliers, and even more so, we look forward to discussing new and creative approaches with potential future suppliers too."

ap&m Europe has a reputation for being a launch pad for SMEs and companies new-to-market, and the ‘Meet the Buyers’ platform offers exhibitors a level playing field to meet the hard to find buyers in a series of 10 minute, face to face meetings.

ap&m Europe takes place from 30th May – 1st June 2017 at Olympia London.
