SolVantage Vapor Solv has received the Boeing BAC 5408 (PSD 6-77) approval for vapor degreasing of aerospace components. This adds to the manufacturer approvals already carried by Vapor Solv that also include Lockheed Martin, as well as many industry test compliances. SolVantage Vapor Solv is a non-flammable, high performance, precision cleaning solvent designed for vapor degreasing. It is an azeotropic, fluorinated solvent degreaser, which is a drop-in replacement for n-propyl bromide (nPB), TCE and other vapor degreasing solvents. It is non-staining and corrosion safe on virtually all metals. It can also be used as a carrier fluid for deposition of materials such as silicone or other oils, as well as in flush or spray devices. For 30 years BHC has provided the sales and support of degreasing chemistries to the aerospace industry, and this most recent Boeing approval further solidifies their commitment to providing process solutions, in the manufacturing of aerospace components. “Vapor degreasing solvents have been used in the degreasing of precision aerospace components for decades. The BAC 5408 approval for Vapor Solv will give our aerospace customers whom may currently be using TCE or nPB a viable alternative degreasing solution,” said Jeff Beard, BHC business development manager. http://bhcinc.com Mike Richardson Tags Boeing Brulin Lockheed Martin vapor degreasing Share This Article Tweet Share Share Share Subscribe to our FREE Newsletter Related Articles Four Apache helicopters transported by Antonov Spirit delivers first integrated 767 forward fuselage NATO and Boeing agree $1 billion surveillance aircraft contract Most recent Articles Kyocera SGS welcomes new sales engineer Boehlerit expands 3D milling system Airbus acquires US automation company Share This Article Tweet Share Share Share Subscribe to our FREE Newsletter
