New European logistics hub for Carter Bearings

Precision bearings specialist, Carter Manufacturing, has announced the opening of a new European logistics hub in Valencia, Spain.

The facility will support European customers by supplying products directly within the European Union and offers many benefits and opportunities for new and existing clients. Transporting products freely around Europe without border restrictions or customs clearance requirements is extremely important and underlines Carter’s global expansion plans.

Karl Brundell, Carter Bearings managing director, commented: “We are incredibly proud to have been able to make this happen during a global pandemic. This investment ensures continuity of high quality of service and supply of goods to all of our customers in the European Union. We look forward to supporting new and existing clients from this new location and are excited to see the growth this investment will help us achieve”.

Since 1999, Carter has helped companies all over Europe find the correct bearing and tooling solutions at the cutting edge of industry. The combination of innovative products, outstanding engineering support and competitive prices ensures that their products meet and exceed customer’s application requirements.

The choice of location for the new logistics hub seemed an obvious choice with Spain now established as being a modern, knowledge-based economy, combined with an international focus on innovation.

Spain's young, qualified workforce, highly competitive costs and working conditions were other key factors.

The region of Valencia offers excellent transport and logistic capabilities for the whole of Europe, with two major ocean freight ports and the international airports of Valencia and Alicante within a 45km radius.

This new location has the same high standard ISO:9001 & AS9120 Aerospace certification under the umbrella of Carter’s existing credentials.
