CMSE Europe conference opens its doors

Organised by engineers for engineers and engineering management, CMSE Europe 2012 is said to be the premier conference for military and space electronics issues.

Held at the Langstone Hotel, Havant Portsmouth from 25-27 June 2012, and now in its eleventh outing, the conference addresses systems, subsystems, circuit boards and components, and specialises in COTS equipment and mil-spec components while also emphasising new technology, processes and design practices. The workshop on Tuesday will address new and advanced practices for detecting and preventing the delivery of counterfeit components. Counterfeit components have become a major problem when purchasing from other than original manufacturers or their franchised distributors due to obsolescence, long delivery times and the goal to find lower prices. The seminar provides useful information together on the varied challenges facing today's component engineer. Knowledge of the construction, technology, strength and weaknesses of each part type will be key factors in judging adequacy and proper application. Results of DPA and construction analysis reports will provide valuable knowledge to decide whether we use components ‘as is' or apply additional screening and testing to assure performance in the intended application environment. The exhibition will be open from Monday evening when there will be an evening reception. All breaks and the evening reception will be held in the exhibition area. Don't miss this opportunity to speak with suppliers directing the development of new technology for military and space systems. This is the opportunity to create one-on-one relationships with your potential suppliers. CMSE is organised by Cognition AM and Components Technology Institute in cooperation with Component Obsolescence Group (COG). www.cmse-eur.com
