Product lifecycle management (PLM) specialist Design Rule is celebrating after the company's in-house ENOVIA infrastructure specialist, Phil Jones, became the first person in the UK to complete his Dassault Systèmes' 3DEXPERIENCE Architecture Green Belt certification.

ification accredits the skills required to plan and implement 3DEXPERIENCE architecture.

Phil had already proven his understanding of Dassault Systèmes' 3DEXPERIENCE platform by earning a white belt through the Dassault Systèmes University. Dassault provides employees with training in various product areas, but has only recently introduced the architecture course.

"Design Rule has been extremely supportive throughout my training," Jones explained. "Design Rule also provided me with the time to revise and the opportunity to build on relevant skills through customer implementation.

"I hope to repay them by helping other members of staff achieve the certification. I'm already involved in Design Rule's in-house training programme, but over the coming months I hope to work closely with other team members to help them earn their white and green belts."

"The benefits of PLM aren't as clearly understood as they should be at board level - or even among design and production teams," added Bob Hillier, managing director of Design Rule. "Phil's certification reinforces our own understanding in the eyes of our customers, competitors and Dassault Systèmes. It also enhances our position as one of the top PLM value-added resellers in the UK. We are hoping to help create a clear understanding of the benefits PLM delivers and Phil's green belt strikes a blow in this battle."
