Seco Tools UK’s ‘Inspiration through Innovation’ advanced manufacturing best-practice event will take place at the company’s Technology Centre in Alcester, from 10-11 October 2017.

With 50+ exhibitors, nine leading-edge seminars and a number of innovative and challenging machining demonstrations occurring over the two days, the 2017 event is certainly bigger (and promises to be even better) than in previous years.

‘Inspiration through Innovation’ is firmly established as a ‘go-to’ event for manufacturers looking to find out more about the latest innovative technology solutions in the market.

This year is no exception, and with more exhibitors attending, more seminars taking place, and more machining demonstrations planned over the two days, the 2017 event looks set to eclipse previous years’ in terms of impact and visitor numbers.

Event highlights

Machining Demonstrations: at the 2017 event a number of innovative and challenging machining demonstrations will take place. Designed and developed by Seco in conjunction with selected technical partners, each demonstration highlights the performance benefits and synergies that result from adopting collaborative approaches to solving specific machining issues.

Seminars: there are nine leading-edge seminars planned over the two-day event, each one delivered by a recognised industry-expert and each focused on a relevant manufacturing and/or machining issue.

Individual seminars include: the best-practice machining of different materials – stainless steels, nickel-based alloys, titanium and Carbon Fibre Composites; additive manufacturing: its use, application and potential; Augmented Reality and its use in monitoring machining processes

With over 50 different technical partners attending, representing the best in machine tool, workholding, CAD/CAM, cutting fluid and measurement and inspection technologies, as well as a number of leading training organisations, trade and industry associations and advisory bodies, there will be something for everyone at the 2017 event.

Mike Fleming, Seco Tools UK’s strategic marketing, products and services manager commented: “The popularity of ‘Inspiration through Innovation’ is self-evident and shows no sign of abating. At the event, this year there are 20% more exhibitors attending than in 2016, and a full programme of seminars and machining demonstrations will, I’m confident, help pull in the crowds.”

Seco is also exhibiting its latest products – many of which are also being used in the machining demonstrations – and a range of its commercial and technical consultancy services at the event in specially-designated product and business solutions zones.

The event is free to visitors, and doors open on both days at 9am – closing at 7.30pm on the 10th October and 5pm on the 11th October.
