Videoscopes for remote visual inspection provide significant benefits to the aviation industry, both to the in-service inspection of aircraft and to the inspection of individual components by original equipment manufacturers.

For example, gas turbines contain many components that are hard to access once the turbine is fully assembled: turbine blades, compressor blades, the combustion chamber, etc. As a result, many aerospace inspections require measurement and imaging capabilities in difficult lighting conditions combined with the need for high manoeuvrability.
