FAC announces latest conference details

Farnborough Aerospace Consortium (FAC) is to hold its 22nd annual conference on November 25 as the industry continues to recover from the pandemic.

The consortium is among the oldest aerospace and defence trade bodies in the UK and supports hundreds of companies in the sector and its supply chain.

The conference at Berystede Hotel in Ascot will hear from leading voices in the industry, and non-FAC members are invited to attend. Its last conference was held just before Covid struck and this year the theme is on ‘sustainable aviation and future flight technologies’.

FAC chief executive, David Barnes said: “We are lining up a day of speakers from some of the biggest names in the sector. Our conference is an important one in the aerospace calendar and those attending will hear the latest news and intelligence. There will be networking opportunities and ultimately we want to do all we can to ensure the sector recovers, as that will help sustain those businesses in the supply chain.

“Non-members are very welcome at our conference and the speakers will be announced in the coming weeks and months. The conference will herald the return of all our events - should Covid restrictions remain lifted - which have been greatly missed. Despite all the difficulties we have been through, businesses that we work with have adapted and diversified and have shown what brilliant people we have working in aerospace, aviation and its supply chain. It is one of the country’s most important sectors because we are amongst the world leaders and with our economy having taken a huge hit we need all our major industries to boom.”
