Farnborough airshow conference speakers announced

A|D|S, the UK's Aerospace, Defence and Security trade organisation has announced the line-up of speakers for the inaugural A|D|S conference programme at the 2010 Farnborough International Airshow.

The conferences will take place from Monday 19 July to Thursday 22 July and will see senior industry and Government speakers tackle the major issues that affect the Aerospace, Defence, Space and Security sectors as Farnborough hosts delegates from across the industry and from around the globe. Some UK Government speakers will be making their first major speech since they took office in May 2010.

“At each day of the conference, world industry leaders and senior UK politicians will examine briefly the issues in our four sectors: civil aviation, defence, security and space,” said Ian Godden, chairman of A|D|S. “The line-ups are impressive and the format is efficient for trade visitors. A|D|S, our members and the wider industry look forward to fascinating contributions from all of our speakers.”

Shaun Ormrod, chief executive of Farnborough International Limited, said: “The Farnborough International Airshow constantly aims to deliver the most effective events for our delegates during their busy week at the show. We believe that we have put together a condensed, high-quality series of short conferences with the best possible speakers for our guests. This will allow delegates to network prior to the event, hear the conference speakers, ask them questions and still leave them plenty of time afterwards to attend to their usual business needs at the Airshow.”

The conferences take place from 1030 to 1200 each day with registration opening at 0945 for coffee and networking beforehand. Current speakers are listed below (and are subject to change):
