Fluency Marketing has announced the final programme for the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) Sponsored SpaceAM conference, the premier advanced materials and technology for the space sector conference, taking place in Leicester on 14-15 September 2021.

As well as including a panel session looking at the future of the space sector, sessions also include: Advanced Materials and Composites for the Space Sector;  Design and Optimisation; The Space Sector Supply Chain; Space Vehicle and Satellite Structures; Additive Manufacturing; Market Opportunities.

A new era in space exploration

The line-up includes presentations from the European Space Agency (ESA), Oxford Space Systems, Skyrora, WAAM3D and Airborne, amongst others.

These industry experts will join our platinum sponsor, STFC, who will provide an update on the ESA Business Incubation Centres (ESA BICs). STFC supports business and innovation and business incubation for start-up companies. ESA Technology Transfer and Business Incubation Office initiated its ESA Business Incubation Centres (ESA BICs) in 2003 to inspire and work with entrepreneurs to turn space-connected business ideas into commercial start-ups companies.

The event will be hosted by renowned space journalist, international TV host and award-winning author, Sarah Cruddas, who has an academic background in astrophysics and is a global thought-leader in the growing commercial space sector.

SpaceAM features great interactive presentations, Q&A, a panel session, exhibition and networking dinner. There are still options to be involved and the team are available to ensure you get the most from your experience.

“There are so many opportunities on the horizon for the space sector,” said Gemma Smith, Fluency Marketing’s managing director. “We are really pleased to have brought together an exceptional line-up of speakers for this preliminary event. Our priority is always to help customers to build their networks, grow their knowledge and to make new business – and this event will be no exception.”

Conference Chair, Sarah Cruddas added: “We are entering a new era in space exploration which is set to not only propel humanity into the cosmos but transform life on Earth. Advanced materials and new ways of manufacturing hold the key to enabling us to tackle the many hurdles we face in exploring space and open up the growing space economy. It is my privilege to host this event for Fluency Marketing as we grow the UK's contributions to the final frontier.”
