The conference was the first of its kind in Abu Dhabi, bringing together the world's leading aerospace manufacturing companies. According to the organisers, the event was a great success, attracting around 100 delegates from the global aerospace manufacturing industry.
Presentations were given by primary OEMs from around the world and delegates were treated to an exclusive tour of the new STRATA development adjacent to the conference venue. The conference presented an opportunity for networking between members of the Middle East Aerospace Consortium and many delegates signed up as new members on the day.
Leading international aerospace organisations joined the MEAC to support the conference and gave presentations at the event. These included intelligeNDT, Strata, Siemens, Aeroform, MAG, KUKA, Waer Systems, and Flow International.
“The event was a great success with more than 90 delegates attending to hear presentations from leading aerospace manufacturing companies,” commented MEAC's CEO, John Ellis. “The day was concluded with a visit to the Strata Composites Manufacturing Plant which is due to open later this year, which I know all the delegates found fascinating to see.”
