Fuchs Lubricants has become one of the only lubricant manufacturers to be independently assessed by BSI and achieve certification to prEN 9100:2016 Quality Management Systems: Requirements for Aviation, Space and Defence Organisations.

The revised international standard, which was published in 2016, specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving a Quality Management System.

It is available to organisations within the aviation, space and defence industry and represents the latest best practice to manage risk and monitor quality across all operations.

Simeon Preston, UK compliance manager at Fuchs, said: “This is the leading quality management standard for the aerospace industry and is used and supported by the world's leading aerospace companies and throughout their supply chains.

“Fuchs UK is delighted to have been certified to this standard. We were originally certified to the revision B 2004 standard and have developed our QMS continually to achieve certification to the latest revision D 2016 standard, which demonstrates our leadership approach to risk and quality. This will undoubtedly instil customers with trust and confidence.”

FUCHS develops, manufactures and supplies a comprehensive range of lubricants, including metalworking fluids, wash fluids and corrosion protection lubricants.
