Industria Bearings receives top aerospace accreditation

Industria Bearings & Transmissions Limited (IBTL) has been awarded an important internationally recognised accreditation for the products and services it provides to customers in the aerospace industry.

The company has received the coveted EN 9120 Bureau Veritas Certification, which verifies its Quality Management Systems conform to both BS EN ISO 9001:2008 and EN 9120:2010, which is also technically equivalent to AS9120.

Encompassing the supply of bearings and associated parts with lot traceability for the aerospace industry, the accreditation also reinforces IBTL’s status as an authorised master distributor and stockist for bearings, transmission chains, engineering plastics and adhesives.

Roy Thomason, managing director for Industria Bearings & Transmissions, said: “We are naturally highly delighted to receive this important and superior accreditation as it means our aerospace customers can be completely confident in our total service and in particular the full traceability of products and associated parts.

“Our processes and systems underwent a full and stringent audit process by Bureau Veritas, which involved a great deal of hard work and dedication by our team to ensure we were successful in gaining the required standard.

“This accreditation confirms that our products and systems fully meet these recognised standards and demonstrates our commitment to quality and providing the best possible service to our aerospace customers both in the UK and internationally.”
