Investing in the future of Vericut

CGTech has announced the appointment of its first apprentice as part of the UK Technical Support team.

Will Culliford started his role as apprentice technical support engineer at the beginning of September after initially completing a six week work experience placement last year. During his work experience, based at the CGTech office in Berkeley Gloucestershire, Mr Culliford completed all Vericut training courses and helped with beta testing the next Vericut release.

As part of his apprenticeship he will be attending Gloucestershire Engineering Training College (GET) on a full time basis for the first academic year and then dividing his time between college and office-based learning in the latter stages of the course.

He commented: “I really enjoyed working with Vericut and the CGTech team during my work experience placement and I am looking forward to learning more about the software and developing my engineering knowledge.”

Gavin Powell, CGTech’s technical director added: “Having an apprentice engineer is an exciting and positive step for CGTech UK. By supporting the next generation of engineers, we are committed to investing in the future of our industry.”

CGTech is the developer of leading CNC simulation, verification and optimization software, Vericut. The recently released version, Vericut 9.1, includes several new cutting-edge features that increase efficiency and empower users to do more in less time.

New visibility options, plus enhancements to toolpath optimisation, tooling and multi-tool stations, measuring and inspection/reporting are just a few of the noteworthy features in the latest release.
