Keighley Laboratories has achieved Nadcap recognition for its commitment to continual improvement in aerospace quality.

“We have extended our prestigious MTL Nadcap accreditation scope by adding Chemical Analysis, Alpha Case and Nitride Depth Determinations, and Compression Testing to our growing list of scopes,” stated Tim Clegg, quality manager at Keighley Labs. “2017 has been a successful year when we’ve also added Nadcap to our Heat Treatment department.

“It was a great all-round effort by our Technical Services team and their involvement in increasing the accreditation scope has resulted in this achievement for the company. The Nadcap accreditation demonstrates our ongoing commitment to quality by satisfying customer requirements and industry specifications.”

The Nadcap accreditation process included an intensive six-day technical audit involving all the Material Testing Laboratory employees to varying degrees.

Joe Pinto, executive vice-president and chief operating officer at the Performance Review Institute, responsible for overseeing Nadcap added: “Achieving Nadcap accreditation is not easy. It is one of the ways in which the aerospace industry identifies those who excel at manufacturing quality product through superior special processes. Keighley Laboratories worked hard to obtain this status and they should be justifiably proud of it.”
