Leading industry speakers join annual conference

Composites UK will be hosting its Annual Conference on 29th June in Bristol, which this year will focus on how to futureproof your business.

With unprecedented events over the past few years and the challenges that have come alongside them, it is important to keep on top of what is happening in your industry and the opportunities your company can seize in order to grow.

The programme for this conference has been specifically formulated with invited speakers to help you do just that. It will begin with an in-depth look at the UK market, the technology opportunity and the challenges around workforce development; followed by a take on strategic direction and a sector specific glimpse of the opportunities in aerospace, automotive and construction available now. The final session covers two of the hottest topics in the composites industry at the moment – net zero and the opportunities for composites to meet Government targets, and digitalisation case studies showcasing how businesses have increased efficiency and saved money by embracing technology.

The leading industry speakers include:

David Bailey, Composites UK

Enrique Garcia, National Composites Centre

Craig Carr, Composites Leadership Forum Chair and GKN Aerospace

Jahan Ali, Spirit AeroSystems

Alan Banks, Ford Motor Company

Matt Hocking, National Composites Centre

Malcolm Forsyth, Composites UK

Steve Barbour, Composite Braiding

Philippa Glover, CNC Robotics

Jamie Snudden, Airborne Composites

Extending the networking opportunities will be a pre-conference dinner on the evening of the 28th June where attendees can make contact with the speakers and other attendees prior to the main event in an informal setting.

Both the dinner and the conference are sponsored by the Advanced Engineering show, one of the UK's leading annual gatherings of OEMs and engineering and manufacturing supply chain professionals, held in November at Birmingham's NEC. This solidifies the partnership it has with Composites UK as one of the Headline Industry Partners of Advanced Engineering.

Registration is open via the Composites UK website, where both members and non-members can sign up to attend.
