Luftwaffe and BDLI Cooperation Pavilion premieres at ILA

At ILA 2010, a jointly organised exhibition pavilion will be highlighting cooperation between the Luftwaffe and defence industry companies from the German aerospace sector.

For the first time at ILA 2010, a jointly organised exhibition pavilion will be highlighting successful cooperation between the Luftwaffe and defence industry companies from the German aerospace sector.

From 8-13 June, together with BDLI members Autoflug, EADS Defence & Security, Eurocopter, MTU and Rolls Royce, the Luftwaffe will be presenting these joint projects to trade visitors and the general public alike. These presentations will be in the Bundeswehr section, in the area called Display 1.

The Cooperation Pavilion of the Luftwaffe and BDLI will be demonstrating technology close up at ILA. Visitors will be able to watch an engine being changed on a Eurofighter and an ejector seat being examined and fully overhauled. Mechanics will demonstrate how they dismantle helicopter compressor blades, and experts from industry and the Luftwaffe will explain the information contained on a flight data recorder from a UH Tiger.

During ILA, the Luftwaffe and BDLI will be demonstrating the close cooperation which secures the operational capability of the Bundeswehr to delegations, audiences and the general public alike. The individual displays highlighting cooperation are arranged in the shape of a star and will host live demonstrations at regular intervals.

Experts from the Luftwaffe and the aerospace industry will be on hand to provide information. Both the Luftwaffe and the companies present will be supplying information on careers in systems support and maintenance.
