Make the right connections

Returning to the Espace Pierre Baudis on November 30th and at the Toulouse Parc des Expositions on December 1-2, Aeromart Toulouse features an expanded conference programme

and a ‘Green Aviation Village' which will look at the future of mass air transport.
As one of the world's largest aerospace networking events, the Aeromart Toulouse international business convention brings the global aerospace and defence supply chain together, from OEMs to suppliers and subcontractors, service providers and clusters around the globe through pre-planned one-to-one meetings and conferences.

The event has been experiencing steady growth for over a decade, with a reputation of proven quality and level of attendance ensuring many networking opportunities.

Now a well-established event on the calendar, BCI Aerospace, the aerospace and defence division of Advanced Business Events (abe) will again act as general coordinator of Aeromart, alongside official event organisers Midi-Pyrenees Development Agency and the Toulouse Chamber of Commerce with support from Grand Toulouse (Greater Toulouse).

Aeromart itself will be welcoming 1,100 aerospace companies from around the world and 2,200 attendees attending over 13,000 pre-planned one-to-one meetings in just three days. Running alongside, an expanded conference programme will cover a whole range of topics and issues, including a special USA seminar and various technology workshops.

New for 2010, a ‘Green Aviation Village' sponsored by Airbus will be located at the heart of the event, using 100m2 of space to show off green technologies from selected Aeromart participants. The village has been created as a response to the need to meet the objectives set by the Advisory Council for Aeronautical Research in Europe (ACARE) - a 50% cut of both CO2 and noise emissions by 2020. The village will focus on the progress achieved so far by the industry.

There will also be renewed focus on regional universities and research centres in partnership with Toulouse PRES University. In addition, designed to enhance participants' experience, an Aeromart Toulouse mobile application will be available where visitors can watch the official opening and get exclusive interviews on their smart phones as well as download official pictures and get the latest logistics and programme details.

The format for this year's event has been changed slightly, with an additional day of forum activities on November 30th in order to free up more time slots for the business to business meetings on the following two days. This first day will include a series of OEM sessions outlining their procurement and supply chain policies as well as the Aerospace Valley Innovation Forum, all of which will take place at the Centre de Congrès Pierre Baudis.

The conference, organised with the support of Aerospace Valley, will include presentations by Thales Alenia Space, Airbus, Bombardier, Safran and CNES (the French National Centre for Space Research). A rare occasion for those suppliers who are ready to cope with ongoing or future changes, these sessions aim to provide the industry a deeper understanding of the OEMs supply chain strategies.

Altogether, abe promises over 25 conferences over the three days, offering excellent opportunities for professionals to share experiences and better comprehend the market and scientific, industrial, technical and commercial evolutions.

The following two days then offer the traditional business to business meetings delivered by abe as well as the conference programmes. Aeromart Toulouse offers aerospace companies the opportunity to identify and request meetings with relevant contacts prior to the event. Abe then pre-arranges meetings for all the attendees based on their own choices. A typical visitor would have to capacity to meet an average of 20 contacts over the course of the two days.

Aeromart Toulouse claims to possess an unrivalled capacity in being able to demonstrate your company's expertise to aerospace professionals, including potential customers, suppliers and partners in just three days at an affordable cost.
