Lanarkshire-based global engineering and manufacturing firm, Martin Precision, has unveiled a rebrand as part of its business development strategy, ahead of the new year.

The business, formerly known as Martin Aerospace, changed its name to better reflect its increasingly diverse customer base, after it expanded its portfolio of clients to serve additional sectors.

The firm, which primarily manufactured precision parts for aeroplanes and helicopters, now also serves clients in the medical, energy and defence sectors.

In line with its rebrand the company has also revealed a new website, www.martin-precision.co.uk, to showcase its people, products, capabilities and quality accreditations.

UKSE, a Tata Steel subsidiary, has provided long-term financial support to Martin Precision which has allowed the business to expand its remit beyond the aerospace industry.

Martin Precision was founded more than 25 years ago and works with a range of markets to supply thousands of different quality-critical machined components, such as engine fastenings, crankshafts and complex assemblies.

William Martin, managing director at Martin Precision, said: “We are very excited about the next chapter in Martin Precision’s business journey. We’ve been working with several different sectors out with aerospace for some time now, and we wanted our brand to better reflect this. Everyone in the organisation has welcomed our new look.

“UKSE has played a significant role in our successful move into new sectors. We are very much looking forward to 2021 and the new opportunities that the next 12 months will bring.”

Scott Webb, area manager at UKSE said: “Working with Martin Precision over the last few years has been a pleasure and we are very proud of everything the business has achieved. The organisation is incredibly innovative and some of the things they create are amazing.

“We’d like to wish the team all the very best with the latest business plans and we look forward to seeing what the future holds for them.”
