From 6-7 October in Worcester, Yamazaki Mazak and Sandvik Coromant will be co-hosting a seminar event that will show manufacturers the fastest and most productive methods to machine parts for aerospace applications using the latest metalcutting technologies and techniques.
Taking place at Mazak's new European Technology Centre in Worcester, the event themed ‘helping your business take off' will explain how to maximise productivity with the right combination of advanced machine tools and the latest cutting tool.
Visitors will be able to learn about the fastest way to turn parts and perform turn-milling operations in difficult application areas using the new Integrex J-200 and Integrex 400-IV ST multi-tasking machines to machine parts in heat resistant super alloys. Another informative demonstration, showcased on Mazak's new UK-designed 2m bed 5-axis machining centre, the VTC-800/20SR, will explain the most successful titanium machining strategies for pocket milling, incorporating spiral morph, trochoidal milling and corner slicing.
With 16 machine tools under power in Mazak's new demonstration area guests will be able to view live cutting demonstrations covering the full spectrum of machining processes suitable for aerospace applications. Visitors to the seminar event will also have the opportunity to enter a competition to win a special Flight Experience in the prize competition.
“These demonstrations are just a few of the vast number of solutions that Mazak and Sandvik Coromant offer to aerospace manufacturers,” said Tony Saunders, Yamazaki Mazak sales director. “Whether they are a subcontractor engaged occasionally in aerospace applications or a large OEM, our customers demand high productivity, accuracy and reliability, and at this event we will show them how to achieve this.”
