New Aircraft Interiors Expo conference announced

Aircraft Interiors Expo 2012 is holding a one-day conference that will delve into future cabin innovations and strategies.

The conference will take place on Monday 26 March, the day before the 13th edition of the world's largest dedicated cabin interiors exhibition opens. The day kicks off with a plenary session looking at ‘Tomorrow's Passengers, Today's Journey'; this will cover everything from the trends shaping passenger expectations in the future to the design and innovation challenges posed by those changing aspirations. The plenary session will round off with a panel discussion where airlines and suppliers will discuss how they can take advantage of standardisation while still differentiating an airline's brand. During the afternoon the conference will split into two breakout sessions. One will focus on inflight entertainment and connectivity looking at areas such as how airlines can evolve their passenger entertainment strategies in a way that is good for business but also makes sense to passengers. The other breakout session is dedicated to catering and onboard hospitality, reflecting Aircraft Interior Expo's co-location in 2012 with the World Travel Catering and Onboard Services Expo. Topics that will be debated here include lessons that can be learned from the wider hospitality industry and what future service options passengers will want to buy into. A line up of high-level speakers, representing all aspects of the cabin interiors supply chain, will be taking part in the sessions throughout the day. John Hyde, exhibition director of Aircraft Interiors Expo, said: “There was a keen desire across both visitors and exhibitors to add some educational content and a debating forum to next year's event. We believe our carefully researched topics will be of interest to the entire cabin interiors community and we're looking forward to receiving feedback on this new initiative.”  www.aircraftinteriorsexpo.com/conference
