The company claims the investment is crucial in its commitment to a large European OEM and greatly enhances its current Gleason-Pfauter P60's capacity and capability with the additional feature of gear grinding using the latest in CBN and form grinding technology, which is particularly suitable within the aerospace sector. A further Lorenz CNC gear shaper has been added to complement its existing LS256 CNC Gear Shaper. The news comes at a time when Gibbs Gears is looking to consolidate its competitiveness in the UK aerospace and defence industry.
