Registration to AS9100 applies to Paragon Electronic Components plc, JJS Electronics and JJS Electronics sro in Chomutov, Czech Republic. By covering the Paragon Electronics Group's three primary companies, AS9100 certification ensures that each offers integrated capabilities for electronic component supply chain management including kitting, Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and Kanban plus contract electronic manufacturing services.
“We're obviously delighted to receive our AS9100 certificates,” explained Paragon director of group quality, John Hitchcock. “To have achieved this for one company would be a major advantage for our customers, but to get all three is fantastic. The quality standard is particularly important for the offshore manufacturing advantage we deliver for our customers; there are currently only 26 companies in the Czech Republic with AS9100!
“Forming part of our ongoing commitment to world class status, the accreditation combines with recent investments in new equipment, new people and group-wide training that have seen a large number of electronics specialists at all three sites trained in 8D, FMEA, SPC and Six Sigma. But it doesn't stop here. We'll be continuing our journey to world class with more investment and accreditations throughout the rest of this year and into 2011.”
