Sharing in Growth programme wins prestigious award

Sharing in Growth has been commended by the Princess Royal, as president of the City and Guilds Group by winning a 2020 Princess Royal Training award.

Now in its fifth year, the Princess Royal Training Awards recognise organisations across the United Kingdom with outstanding training and development programmes that have had a direct impact on business performance, demonstrating exceptional commitment despite the unprecedented challenges of Covid-19.

To win the award, Sharing in Growth needed to demonstrate three ‘hallmarks of excellence’:

  1. Ensuring the development of people is integral to the organisation.

  2. Demonstrating that the programme is designed and delivered efficiently and effectively.

  3. Show clear evidence that the programme has had an impact on the success of organisations and their people.

Andy Page, chief executive of Sharing in Growth UK Ltd said: “This a great honour for the SiG team to be recognised by the Princess Royal for excellence and impact. High-value manufacturing is hugely rewarding to people employed within it and brings strength to the local and national economy. I look forward to our team being part of the post-COVID recovery by focussing on the development of these people and the organisations within which they work.”

With origins in the Aerospace and Civil Nuclear Sectors, Sharing in Growth has now expanded to start work in the Offshore Wind sector.
