SPEE3D to reveal metal 3D printing production cell at Formnext

The speed, affordability and flexibility of this additive manufacturing cell will be demonstrated with the production of copper parts live on the tradeshow floor.

At this event in 2017, Australian company SPEE3D first introduced the revolutionary LightSPEE3D, said to be the world's first metal 3D printer that manufactures metal parts in just minutes instead of hours or days. Last year, SPEE3D introduced a large-format version of the printer, WarpSPEE3D. This year, the pioneers in supersonic 3D printing are launching SPEE3Dcell - the world's first metal 3D production cell.

SPEE3Dcell combines a SPEE3D printer with a heat treatment furnace and a computer numerical control (CNC) three-axis milling machine.

For the entire duration of the fair, the SPEE3Dcell will be demonstrated live at Booth E02 in Hall 12. In just over six minutes, the machine will be printing sparkless copper hammers, finishing them, and assembling them on the trade show floor. This will demonstrate how SPEE3Dcell enables significantly faster, lower-cost, and more scalable production than traditional casting or other 3D printing techniques.

As part of the fair, the specialists from Down Under will present other surprises and magical moments, including the world's fastest LIVE metal 3D print demonstration.
