Stadium Group, a leading supplier of wireless connectivity solutions, power products, human machine interface (HMI) and electronic assemblies, has announced that the company’s HMI division (Stadium IGT) has achieved the Supply Chains for the 21st Century (SC21) bronze award for the fifth consecutive year.

Stadium IGT has provided expertise in design, manufacture and distribution of intelligent interface solutions and HMI technology to the global electronics industry for more than 30 years, delivering complete solutions to major system manufacturers.

The company operates a design centre and manufacturing facility for HMI technologies in Eastleigh, UK, which provides expertise in hardware, software and system integration for HMI solutions, and is able to deliver rapid turn-around prototyping and low-cost volume manufacturing. Specific activities include the design and build of fully customised control assemblies, touchscreens, capacitive switching, integral RFI screening and membrane keypads, as well as implementing the latest technology in capacitive touchscreens and capacitive switch control panels with thin-film backlighting and LED illumination.

Vince Light, managing director at Stadium IGT, commented: “We are delighted to have successfully gained SC21 bronze accreditation for the fifth year running, which demonstrates our commitment to this important quality standard in the sectors in which we operate.

“In the last five years SC21 has helped us to process map and develop a platform to implement improvements throughout our business and in the supply chain. In 2011 our delivery performance within a seven-day window was at 96% and we now stand at 99.9% within a three-day window. Our quality performance stood at 98% and we can now boast 99.7%.

“Being a part of the SC21 programme has also delivered commercial opportunities for Stadium IGT with new customers and a network of like-thinking companies. As we work towards the SC21 silver award and the AS9100 aerospace standard we are adopting the 5S program and further improving our lean manufacturing techniques. SC21 has provided a formula and platform for best practice in our business.”

Light and Gordon Webb, quality manager at Stadium IGT received this latest award from Dr Chris Owen, chief executive of the SMMT industry forum at an SC21 task force event held last month.

Stadium IGT will be exhibiting on stand S4-151 on the ADS UK Pavilion at DSEI between 12-15 September 2017 at ExCeL, London.
