The new Nadcap accreditation for mechanical testing, metallography, sample preparation and chemical analysis offers a complete range of tests that can be performed on metallic materials used in the aerospace industry.
New services within the full suite of Nadcap accredited tests include elevated temperature tensile testing up to 650°C, alloy depletion and a doubled inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) capability. The recognition comes in response to customer demand for an expansion in accredited services and is further confirmation of Exova’s role at the forefront of testing within the sector.
Gary Merchant, general manager of Exova’s Teesside Laboratory, commented: “This is a significant step forward for Exova as a leading testing provider. Our Nadcap accreditation demonstrates the Exova approach to quality and standards in technically demanding services for a wide range of customers and we are proud to have achieved this level of accreditation.”
