The Farnborough Aerospace Consortium (FAC) has announced the speakers for its upcoming conference this year.

The event, ‘Sustainable Aviation and Future Technologies’ held on Thursday November 25th  at the prestigious Berystede Hotel and Spa in Ascot, will feature keynote speeches from David Morgan, director of flight operations at EasyJet, and Katharine Bennett CBE, chief executive of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult.

Representatives from Airbus, Rolls-Royce, ATI, FlyZero, CAA, NATS, Farnborough Airport and London City Airport will also be speaking.

Three sessions will held on Advanced Air Mobility and Future Fuels, ATC Technology and Greater Efficiencies and Airport Infrastructure and Energy Transition.

The conference will address the impact on the industry and environment of hydrogen-powered and battery-powered electric aircraft, which are in development.

Speakers will also discuss the impact future technologies will have on the operational efficiencies in air traffic control, and changes with the regulatory bodies. Infrastructure requirements for introducing zero emission aircraft into airports will also be discussed.

David Barnes, chief executive of FAC, said: “Our annual conference is one of the highlights of our calendar and this year, with our exceptional line up of speakers sharing their views and expertise, it is not to be missed.

“Delegates will be provided not only with the latest industry developments and insights to this vital agenda but also have an opportunity to network face-to-face and visit the table-top exhibition showcasing products and services of some of our members’ companies.”

Graham Chisnall

Graham Chisnall, chairman of the FAC Board, said: “This conference is open to all, not just our members.

“As everyone in aerospace, aviation and the supply chain knows, we have been through a hugely difficult couple of years. But our industry is also one of great innovation and the conference will not be looking backwards – we will be looking forwards.”
