Watch as Royal Marines test out jetpack to board ships

A Royal Marines exercise has tested the capability of a jet-powered suit to board ships, made by Gravity Industries.

The technology, made by the Salisbury-based aerospace company, uses 1,000bhp of jet engine power to propel the user onto the ship.

Company founder, Richard Browning, said: “The team and I are delivering on the vision to build Gravity into a world class aeronautical engineering business, challenge perceived boundaries in human aviation, and inspire a generation to dare ask 'what if'."
