JEC announces Asia Innovation Awards winners

This year, nine companies and their 17 partners will receive awards for their groundbreaking application developments in the composites field at the JEC Show Asia 2010, to be held in Singapore on October 12-14.

An awards programme that attracts much attention in the global composites market, the JEC Asia Innovation Awards is supported by major companies and trade magazines in the industry committed to the development of composite innovation. Now in its third year, the JEC Asia Innovation Awards has also quickly established itself as a top level awards programme attuned to the latest technological trends in the Asian composites field.

“The JEC Asia Innovation Awards is part of our commitment to foster successful innovation strategies in the composites industry, and the annual JEC Asia Innovation Awards puts the spotlight firmly on innovations across the composites value chain in the region,” said Frédérique Mutel, JEC president and CEO.

Besides the awards ceremony for the winners of the JEC Innovation Awards 2010, JEC Asia Show 2010 will also feature exhibitions by leading players in the global composites industry. The show will also launch the inaugural Innovative International Composites Summit (IICS) with the theme ‘Composites for a sustainable growth in Asia', the biggest platform that will gather regional and global professionals in the composites industry, as well as universities and research centres, and related institutions to exchange ideas and get updated on the latest developments and trends in the industry.

The JEC Asia Innovation Awards 2010 ceremony will take place on October 12 during the JEC Asia exhibition and conference and will be open to all visitors.

This year's aeronautics category winner is Henkel (USA) with its film adhesive and adhesive paste for out-of-autoclave processes product. Partners are listed as Alenia Aeronautica SpA (Italy) and Diamond Aircraft Industries (Canada).
