JEC organisers announce Start-up Booster number 2

This year, the second edition of Start-up Booster will be held during JEC World, Paris on March 6-8, 2018.

The Start-up Booster will be held in the presence of a prestigious jury composed of top-level managers from 3M, Airbus Commercial Aircraft, Alstom, Cetim, Daimler AG, GE’s Digital European Foundry, Innovation Plasturgie Composites (IPC), JEC Group and Vector Space System.

"One of the JEC Group's missions is to spot composites innovations at their early stage, and help them grow, to improve the industry and every end-using segment. Start-up Booster is the perfect way to source and to filter innovations, with the backing of important industry players," said Frédérique Mutel (pictured), president and CEO of JEC Group.

Organized by JEC Group, this is the most important start-up competition in the field of composites worldwide. The programme is meant to support and accompany innovations and entrepreneurship in aeronautics, automotive, construction, medical, design, sports and leisure, etc.

For this new edition, Start-up Booster will offer an intensive three-day programme, jointly organised with BPI France Le Hub. The 10 selected start-ups will benefit from unparalleled direct access to the Composites Industry, as JEC World attracts more than 40,000 professional visits over the three days. Out of these 10, three will be provided with an 18m² stand for JEC World 2019, as well as a promotion package - worth €10,000 and finally, €3,500 to cover the costs of their participation in 2018.

Start-ups, SMEs and academic spinoffs who want to present their innovations to world leaders of composites can apply up until December 15th for the two categories: PROCESS (Design, Manufacturing, Digitalisation/Industry 4.0), and PRODUCTS (New materials including hybrid materials, bio-sourcing and intelligent composites, new market applications).
