Jetcam to showcase new software at EuroBLECH

Jetcam has recently announced a forthcoming release showcase of its three latest flagship products: Jetcam Expert, Jetcam Orders Controller, and CrossTrack - to be featured at EuroBLECH between 25-28 October in Hannover, Germany.

Enhancing nesting automation, Jetcam Expert v23 includes numerous new and improved features, including additions and improvements to hole avoidance, heat avoidance, and common cutting. Punch customers benefit from a new sheet cut off function, allowing the creation of tooling to cut remnants. Profiling customers also benefit from new ‘free corner’ functionality, which quickly creates laser tooling on a contour to free material around corners, ensuring parts do not get stuck when being automatically unloaded.

A new Ultra Performance Nesting option is now available with many new features, including giving programmers a choice whether to choose a mix between more or less nest patterns and material efficiency. This release further includes support for several new punching and profiling machines.

Jetcam Orders Controller automates the CAD import and nesting process, taking data from ERP and automatically creating tooled components or assemblies for automatic nesting. A new material translation file allows customers using external software such as ERP or MES to easily map material types to those used within Jetcam Expert. Component reprogramming includes new functionality that improves on its current ability to retool entire directories of components for new materials or even new machines. Furthermore, assembly copy/mirroring also includes new features. Both Premium and Premium Automation versions now support Jetcam Expert Lite.

Jetcam's manufacturing suite, CrossTrack, now supports both the sheet metal and composite industries. The ‘Processes’ functionality, previously a separate module, is now part of the core system, and allows users to create unlimited operations that can then be assigned to either components or assemblies. Coupled with the creation of virtual shop floor machines that can be interfaced via APIs, this allows for scheduling and bi-directional communication with any suitable shop floor machinery.

The first such integration is with Italian CNC bending machine manufacturer Schiavi. CrossTrack can receive live bending status of components being processed which can then also be fed back to ERP. Other updates include a new Worksheet Nests tab on the Orders screen, allowing users to quickly perform common tasks with recently generated nests, a new reporting engine, and performance updates across the software.

All JETCAM products now support soft licensing as well as USB security keys, allowing companies to take advantage of powerful cloud computing rather than having to rely on on-premises IT.

Martin Bailey, general manager of Jetcam International said: “These are just a small number of the features released, and are the culmination of over 15,000 man-hours of development across several expanded teams. While many features and enhancements are based on customer feedback, all three products contain development that furthers our reach and integration onto the shop floor and with other systems such as ERP, MES, and machine monitoring. We’ll be demonstrating our integration with Schiavi bending cells, as well as cooperation with the Zoomfab machine monitoring system that will also be featured alongside us on the stand.”

JETCAM will be in hall 12, stand F86 alongside Schiavi and Zoomfab.
