Aimed at providing new openings to the space and defence markets, the Aerosolutions international aerospace convention takes place on the 1-2 December 2009 at Bordeaux Palais des Congrès and brings together high level subcontractors involved in civilian and defence aerospace. The aeronautics, space and defence section of the Aquitaine region in South West France accounts for around 600 SMEs and 38,000 jobs. Together with Midi-Pyrenees, the Aquitaine region contributes in making South West France the premier European aerospace region. The presence of a significant number of large Prime contractors - and the role played inside the Aerospace Valley centre for excellence - fully justifies the reason for hosting the Aerosolutions international aerospace convention in Bordeaux. CEB, the Bordeaux-based organisation for promoting congresses and exhibitions again partners with BCI, a leader in the organisation of business to business meetings. The two companies have been successfully running Aerosolutions for eight years. Interactions between participants will feature a matchmaking programme of face to face meetings, conferences on current topics such as the environment, investment in defence etc, and technology workshops led by Primes involved in space technologies and UAVs etc. This comprehensive programme makes the event worthwhile for participants coming from Aquitaine, France and overseas. Aerosolutions will also feature ‘Technologies and Perspectives'. This is a technology oriented contest open to all subcontractors participating in the convention. The contest was launched during Aerosolutions 2007 and is aimed at value added techniques, equipment, and services and products with an innovative touch related to optics and laser. www.aerosolutions-bordeaux.com
