RENA Technologies Austria strengthens management team

AM post processing experts, RENA Technologies Austria, has announced that Ulf Spitzer has become managing director/CEO and Martina Halmdienst has become CTO.

They succeed Dr Wolfgang Hansal, who has been instrumental in developing the young Hirtisation technology to this point. RENA Technologies is the supplier of Fintek’s H6000 series machine for the finishing of additive manufactured metal components, the first in the UK.

Additive manufacturing of metal parts by 3D printing continues to develop rapidly. The changes at RENA Technologies Austria shows their commitment to advancing the capability of Hirtisation machines to remove support structures, powder cake and reduce the surface roughness of 3D printed metal parts on external and harder to reach internal surfaces and cavities.

The new management consists of well-known faces within the AM market and the business of RENA.

Halmdienst has already been the technical director of RENA AT and is one of the co-founders of the Hirtisation technology. She has also spent time in the UK helping Fintek establish the process. Spitzer is joining from the RENA Group where he leads corporate development. He has also been closely involved in the growth of RENA as a unit in the group.

Explaining more, Spitzer said: “The change in management structure is accompanied by a strategic expansion of post-processing service solutions at RENA’s location in Austria. The business with Hirtisation modules will be further developed in close cooperation with our partners and industrial users.”

Fintek general manager, Jamie Phillips, added: “These are exciting times in AM and we look forward to working with Ulf and Martina to ensure UK additive manufacturers can access a best in class post processing service for their 3D printed parts.”
