The biennial event, which is free to attend, is a comprehensive exhibition of NDT, materials testing, condition monitoring and diagnostic technologies. Materials Testing 2019 will feature over 70 exhibitors plus a wide range of seminars and workshops, and will run alongside the NDT 2019 conference. Both events are organised by the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT).
This year's show comes as new technologies are transforming the inspection industry. Trends include the increased use of permanently installed sensors within engines and further developments in testing composites and components produced by additive manufacturing.
Paul Fidgeon, chair of the organising committee, said: "NDT plays a major role in ensuring safety in the aerospace industry. Inspection techniques are developing fast and innovations offer potential to further improve safety and efficiency. Materials Testing is a global meeting place where engineers and NDT professionals can keep up to date with developments. There has never been a better time to attend."
Materials Testing 2019 is open from 9.30am-4.30pm on Tuesday and Wednesday, and from 9.30am to 2.30pm on Thursday 5th September, and takes place at the International Centre in Telford.
