Bahrain International Airshow signs framework with ADS Group

Bahrain International Airshow Organising Committee, led by HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and ADS Group have signed a framework programme to deliver a UK Pavilion at the Bahrain International Airshow 2024 (BIAS).

Following the signing of the Strategic Investment and Collaboration Partnership between the UK and Bahrain, this collaboration paves the way for continued cooperation and collective achievement across the aerospace and defence sectors.

Discussing the announcement, Yousif Mohammed Mahmoud, director general of BIAS, said: “With this framework, we aspire to create the foundation for UK participation at Bahrain International Airshow that meets the highest standards of excellence and contributes substantially to Bahrain's and UK companies’ progress in the sectors. We are proud to embark on this journey with ADS Group to strengthen our relationships with UK aerospace and defence organisations and drive collaboration across the region.”

Kevin Craven, CEO of ADS Group, added: “Formalising our commitment to the Bahrain International Airshow is the latest enhancement to our international business development activities, and exhibitors at our ADS event portfolio are up some 25% year on year. Bahrain International Airshow is a natural fit for UK industry, with close and deep industrial collaboration taking place between the two nations.”

As a strategic hub for the aviation industry, Bahrain has consistently played a pivotal role in fostering regional growth and innovation, positioning itself at the heart of the international aerospace sector. Organised by the Bahrain Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications in association with Farnborough International, BIAS has been designed to reflect global aerospace and defence industry demands, in addition to Bahrain’s exponential development, and will harness leading expertise to provide crucial thought leadership and insight.

Held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and under the supervision of His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty the King and the Chairman of BIAS’ Supreme Organising Committee, BIAS will return to the aerospace calendar 13-15 November 2024 at Sakhir Airbase Bahrain.
