BG Engineering, a leading subcontractor of precision machined components, based in Chesterfield, is celebrating after winning the Excellence in Manufacturing Award at the 2018 Derbyshire Times Business Awards.

BG Engineering was announced as the winner of the Excellence in Manufacturing Award, which is presented to the company that shows a modern, efficient and innovative approach to manufacturing, during a glittering ceremony at Chesterfield College on 15th November.

The company’s managing director, Antony Holmes and business development manager, Fabio Cosenza, attended the event, which was hosted by Dronfield entrepreneur Jessica Cunningham, star of TV show The Apprentice.

“Being named as the Excellence in Manufacturing Award winners is the perfect finish to what has been a fantastic 30th anniversary year for BG Engineering,” stated Holmes. “This award is testament to our highly skilled team that works extremely hard to deliver quality engineering solutions, and it is thanks to them all that the business continues to grow.”

From its beginnings in 1988, BG Engineering has become one of the region’s leading sole CNC machining companies, with more than 30 staff including four apprentices and 18 CNC machines, and boasting customers across the UK and Europe.

Over the past 30 years, the company has elevated itself into one of the leading precision engineers in the region and recently secured AS9100 accreditation.
