Curtiss-Wright certified EASA Part 21 at its Dublin facility

Curtiss-Wright’s Defence Solutions division, a leading supplier of rugged avionics solutions, has announced that its Dublin, Ireland facility has been certified by EASA as a Part 21 production organisation.

The certification is the first received by the Dublin facility allowing shipment of its aerospace instrumentation products for use on in-service aircraft. The first Curtiss-Wright product to be shipped under the Part 21 certification will be a digital flight data acquisition unit (DAU) for use by a major commercial aircraft manufacturer.

This milestone enables Curtiss-Wright’s Dublin facility to further expand its aviation market business beyond flight test instrumentation (FTI), for which it is a recognised industry leader for commercial, military and space platforms worldwide, and pursue more opportunities for operational equipment on commercial in-service aircraft.

EASA certification is recognised by flight authorities worldwide, including the FAA and Transport Canada, enabling Curtiss-Wright’s Dublin facility to support in-service commercial aircraft around the globe with its best-in-class technology.
