G&P appoints new UK business development manager

Chris Worwood has been appointed UK business development manager for quality management provider, G&P.

The new appointment comes as the company continues its ambitious growth plans supporting manufacturers across multiple industry sectors including automotive, aerospace and off-highway.

Worwood has over 35 years’ experience working in manufacturing and has held positions in senior operations, sales, business development and account management roles within the automotive industry. This includes dealership repair networks, launch and rework specialists and over 19 years situated within a UK based premium OEM. 

His appointment is one of the company’s latest initiatives as it continues to develop the breadth and depth of its core divisions while strengthening its management team across the business.

Worwood said: “G&P’s long standing history working with some of the leading manufacturers across a variety of industries is testament to the dedication and commitment the team have put in across nearly three decades. I’m delighted to be joining the business to help it build on its existing relationships, form new partnerships and strengthen its position, especially in the automotive sector.”

Additionally, G&P has recently expanded its high-end technical capabilities for OEMs to include prototype vehicle engineering services, an area that Worwood is keen to expand upon.

He said: “I’m looking forward to further developing G&P’s automotive offering with my knowledge of prototype vehicle engineering services. Prototypes play a crucial role in the research and development process of a new vehicle and OEMs can certainly benefit from the added support G&P can provide, right from vehicle conception all the way to final build and production.”
