Labinal seals Airbus A380 contract

On the verge of an important production ramp up due to the commercial success of the A380, Airbus and Labinal have signed a contract related to the full fuselage electrical wiring system.

This contract supports a global Airbus plan to reduce lead times and costs. With a strong focus on quality, this agreement lays the foundation for the optimisation of processes and tools.

Airbus awarded Labinal a programme with an end‐to‐end scope, from early design and modification, through manufacturing and services, and, most importantly, the contract is for the life of the Airbus A380 programme.

“The Labinal teams are very proud that Airbus has renewed its confidence in our ability to provide support in Airbus' very ambitious objectives,” said Karen Bomba, Labinal chairman and CEO. “This long-term relationship is ideal for accelerating improvement.”
