Mettis has announced the launch of the Mettis Accelerate Programme which offers companies who require forged, machined and assembled products a way to fast track their components into production in as few as six weeks - at least a quarter of the time it may usually take - while meeting all required standards.

This innovative, new product introduction system is designed to help companies affected by supply disruptions because of the Covid-19 pandemic as well as those that need to diversify to mitigate risks created by the present market challenges, particularly in aerospace and defence. The programme can also help reduce overall lead-times, costs and carbon emissions.

Gordon Fraser, Mettis Group chief executive and Chairman, said: “We are proud of our talented industrialisation team, including engineering, manufacturing and lean experts, who have come together, pushing through all the present challenges to deliver this innovative programme. The pandemic has created so many issues across multiple sectors and we are pleased to be able to offer a solution that can help with supply issues.”
