Aligning itself with internationally-respected quality standards is a top priority for German machine tool manufacturer Handtmann, according to its new quality management manager, Wolfgang Nielsch.
Quality is emphasised as a key competence at Handtmann and since the innovative machining centres are especially employed by leading international customers, enormous precision and power is required. Therefore, an efficiently structured process chain is a precondition for guaranteeing solutions at a top level in terms of precision, productivity and effectiveness.
Handtmann claim that continuous ongoing development of products and services makes it one of the technology leaders in the market, and adds that its leadership is backed up by a strict quality management strategy which is consistently adjusted to the rising demands.
“A lot has been written and said about quality management,” stated Nielsch. “We should take our time to think clearly about it, and only by knowing the goal will we find the proper way forward.”
