RAF museum hosts IMFair 2011

The Institute of Metal Finishing will be holding its IMFair 2011 at the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford from the 14-16 June 2011.

The conference and exhibition provides an ideal international forum for sharing surface finishing knowledge and best practice techniques for sustainable aviation and defence materials technology.

Following on from the success of the IMFair held at the Museum in 2009, the event will be the UK's largest and most in-depth surface coating and surface engineering conference and exhibition, aimed directly at the aerospace and defence industries.

The aim of the IMFair2011 is to connect surface finishing researchers and practitioners from both academia and industry, to meet and share cutting-edge developments. An impressive list of high quality technical papers will be presented by many well known names from the aerospace and coatings industry both from the UK and International organisations attracting visitors from afar.

“We are delighted to be returning our IMFair exhibition and conference to the RAF Museum Cosford this week,” said Paul Wynn, director public relations at The Institute of Metal Finishing. “The National Cold War Exhibition is truly a fitting home for our event.”
